Monthly Muses – May-June

Hello, hello! It’s that time again, where I share my monthly round-up of health/wellness/lifestyle bits that I have been enjoying. It has been a funny month that has flown by equally as fast as last month, so I have made this a bumper joint edition, with favorites from May and June. Let’s get to it!

Essential Oil Diffuser РOne of my many purchases during this lock-down period, but perhaps one of my best. This is such a great addition to the bedroom and depending on which oil I choose that day can completely change my mood. I like to diffuse orange, eucalyptus or peppermint during the day for concentration, alertness and clarity, whereas at night I like to diffuse Lavender and Bergamot for their calming properties. I purchased mine from here.

Ozark – If you are looking for a new Netflix show to binge, this is it. Set at Lake Ozark, the Byrd family find themselves in sticky situation after sticky situation with their father’s money laundering job. Each episode seemed to get more intense than the last and my family and I are utterly addicted.¬†

Strava – I’m still into my running, which I am very pleased about! Plus, the new discovery of this app is making me more keen to get out there. I understand that I am very late to the party with Strava, but I love that you can share your runs with followers and see other’s routes and times. Great if you have a competitive streak too!

Love Corn – I am OBSESSED with this delicious snack. I can’t go a weekend without them and they are perfect with an early evening beverage. Be warned though, they’re so moorish and come in several different flavours (BBQ is my ultimate favourite).

Grounded with Louis Theroux – This podcast broadcast it’s first episode at the start of lock-down and it has been a weekly listen for me ever since. The show encapsulates what Louis does best – conversations with interesting characters who have interesting stories to share, such as Helena Bonham Carter, KSI and Boy George. The casual interviewing style makes it seem as if you are eavesdropping on a friendly catch up and I haven’t missed a single episode. Give it a listen!

La Roche Posay 50+ – This is the best natural sunscreen for face that I have come across. It has no colour to it, it is non-greasy and is perfect under make up as it acts as a primer. I love that the texture is non-greasy but has a slight perfecting quality, which means I sometimes just wear this without anything else! It is also on sale in boots right now so grab it before the sun returns!

Thank you for reading and catching up with my monthly health and wellness picks, I would love to know what your monthly muses are!
